I recently had the pleasure of dining at Christie's Kitchen in Polkville, NC, and it was a wonderful experience! After a hospital stay, I was craving something other than hospital food, and Christie's Kitchen hit the spot. The country vibe and atmosphere were cozy and inviting, and the country cooking was delicious. I ordered the French toast with sausage links, and both were excellent. The prices were very reasonable, and I appreciated the option to include dessert with my meal. We were driving through and decided from the reviews this would be a good lunch time spot. Clearly a popular spot for locals, as the waitresses knew the names of the clientele. Definitely go with the flounder. And you can't go wrong with okra, sweet potato casserole. I got the meatloaf and wasn't crazy about it, but I have also mastered meatloaf so it doesn't stack up to my recipe. Lots of locals were ordering the meatloaf. Kids went for a grilled chicken sandwich and ate every bit. Overall great establishment. Clean, friendly and quick service!
This is good country comfort food real good AF and very reasonable priced real cheap real good food fast service! Nothing fancy the decor is simple I got a big lunch for $6!! Great sweet tea sandwiches are great flounder is great the sides are great ALL GOOD ALL GREAT
Love the food at Christie's. I've been going there forever. I just feel like they need to expand to a bigger venue or something. They are really the only decent sit-down restraunt for a while, and the wait can be a lot since everyone else has figured out how good it is there.
